It is mandatory for any organisation seeking to operate in the business of providing private security services to obtain a PSA licence under the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005, before commencing operations. Existing PSA licence holders who wish to continue their private security business must apply for renewal at least 45 days prior to the expiry of their current licence.
About The Organisation
The Home Department of the "Government of Bengal" was instituted in the year 1843. The functions of this Department from the very beginning were heterogeneous in character. The Department was rechristened the Home and Hill Affairs Department in 2016. Through this website attempt has been made to showcase the main activities of the Department.
